My journey into health and nutrition began in 2015 when I became a vegetarian after embracing Buddhist principles of compassion and respect for all sentient beings. In 2018, inspired by the documentary Earthlings and a growing awareness of the impact our food choices have on our bodies and the planet, I transitioned to a vegan (plant based) lifestyle. “Do no harm” became a personal philosophy—one rooted in both spiritual and physical wellbeing.
As I witnessed the life-changing effects of dietary shifts within my own family—especially among loved ones facing conditions like Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease—I felt called to share what I was learning. What began as informal guidance to friends and family evolved into a deeper calling to help others heal through food and lifestyle.
I received my Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate through eCornell and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, and I hold additional certifications as a Plant-Based Nutrition Specialist and Health and Wellness Coach through AFPA. My approach is grounded in evidence-based research and a whole-person philosophy that honors both science and spirit.
While I personally follow a plant-based lifestyle, I recognize that everybody is unique. My mission is to help you discover the nutritional and lifestyle path that works best for you. Whether you’re looking to prevent disease, improve energy, or embrace more mindful living, I’m here to guide you with compassion, clarity, and care.
Let’s begin your journey to holistic health—together.

My journey into wellness began in the ‘80s, driven by my passion and calling to educate and uplift others. After earning my teaching degree from Penn State University, I spent years immersed in teaching, Christian ministry, and supporting and mentoring individuals living with HIV, chronic illnesses and personal trauma. I believed in healing and living in balance – mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellness – but had not yet found that balance in myself.
Despite being active and spiritually grounded, I found myself on twenty prescription medications for conditions like arthritis, IBS, allergies, asthma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and menopause symptoms. When I confided in a lifelong friend who was a long-time vegan, she gently reminded me of something I’d long believed but wasn’t living: “Practice what you preach.”
That moment changed everything.
I transitioned to a plant-based (vegan) lifestyle. Within six months, I lost twenty pounds and discontinued every medication. Today, I manage minor inflammation with turmeric and use maca for menopause symptoms – no drugs, no lingering conditions. My doctor was amazed – my labs reflected the health of someone half my age. He even began exploring plant-based nutrition himself.
Fueled by this transformation, I pursued certifications in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell and the T. Colin Campbell Center, along with specialized training from AFPA in Senior Fitness, Autoimmune Nutrition, Lifestyle Coaching, and more.
Today my mission is to help others - especially seniors – age well, boost energy, reverse or prevent illness, and live with purpose.
While I advocate for plant-based living, I recognize that every person is unique. I believe in compassionate, personalized support backed by research and a holistic approach to wellness.
If you’re ready to explore your own path to better health, I’m here to walk it with you – with patience, kindness, compassion and care.
